Additional information

Alexander Oing received his Bachelor’s (2019) and Master’s (2021) Degree in Process and Chemical Engineering from the RWTH Aachen University. During his undergraduate studies, he spent six months as an intern in the R&D department of the Elco Burners GmbH, working on the reduction of NOx in flue gases. Alexander wrote his Bachelor’s thesis at the Chair of Chemical Process Engineering under the supervision of Prof. M. Wessling, which was devoted to manufacturing three-dimensional, polymeric monoliths with a triply periodic minimal surface (TPMS). For his Master’s thesis, he visited the ETH Zürich within the Swiss-European Mobility Program (SEMP), working at the Laboratory of Energy Science and Engineering (LESE) on metal oxide-stabilized, Ca-based nanostructures for CO2 capture. In January 2022, Alexander rejoined the LESE group as a Ph.D. student, now focusing on the development of selective metal oxides in the context of chemical looping for the production of chemicals.
