Valentina Vogt studied Chemistry at ETH Zürich where she received her Bachelor in 2019 and graduated in 2021 with a Masters Degree with a special interest in electrochemistry and sustainability. She performed her Master thesis work in the Electrochemical Energy Systems Laboratory under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Lukatskaya and Prof. Dr. Copéret on the topic of carbon capture electrolytes for selective electrochemical carbon dioxide reduction. Valentina has gained industrial experience in direct carbon air capture solutions during her internship at Climeworks. She started her PhD at the Laboratory of Energy Science and Engineering at ETH Zürich in October 2022 and is working on the development and characterization of model systems to probe the lattice oxygen activation in oxides and study the emergence of the lattice oxygen mediated mechanism of the oxygen evolution reaction.
